Art Juice Ep. 11: Are You Willing to Invest in Yourself?

Ep-11.-willing-to-invest.jpg

When we think of investing in ourselves, we think of money and that certainly comes into it. But spending time is also an investment. So is expending energy.

In this episode of Art Juice, Alice and I discuss the kind of investments you make (or don’t make) in yourself and your art practice. We consider the role that self-worth plays in our investment decisions, we discuss how we decide about spending money, and we ask whether it’s possible to make significant leaps forward if we are not willing to spend time, energy, or money.

We also answer a question about gallery relations, discuss working on commissions, and bravely soldier through a fit of the giggles.

I'd love to hear from you ... what does this question bring up for you? Do you invest in yourself and your art, or do you find reasons why you don't deserve whatever it is you want or need?
