Art Juice Ep 5: Dealing with Older Work

This week, inspired by Alice's recent Marie Kondo style studio clean-up, we talk about what to do with older work when your style has moved on. What do you do with that pile of old canvases or sheets of paper that no longer feel like you? Is it a waste to throw them out? Is it OK to show them with your newer work? Or can we find ways to offload them and allow someone else to enjoy them?

We also wrestle with the best (and worst) ways to ask for feedback on your work and discuss how important it is to prepare yourself mentally. Finally, we introduce a new segment: in "Inside/Outside" we share one thing that has inspired us during the previous week. This week, Alice shares a book on business, and I talk about a documentary that demonstrates the power of self-belief.
