View From Your Studio - Cora Harrington

Cora Harrington is an artist based in Northern Ireland and she sent these beautiful photos of her studio along with this note:

For many years when I painted full-time professionally I worked in a bedroom in our house, then a few years ago I got my custom built studio in the garden It is 5x6 meters by 12 feet high at the apex which gives me a good space for a gallery wall or to work on large paintings. This is the largest size that you can build over here without getting planning permission.I became established in Northern Ireland through galleries with mostly traditional work but I always loved experimenting and doing semi-abstract and abstract work. I am blessed to have this space and sometimes I just come out to pretend I am working (ha ha) and play some dance music or listen to Radio4, but then my work-in-progress takes my attention and I can’t help painting or playing with my paints.

What a fabulous room! Just look at all that light! (I have space but lack light so I am always envious of those who have it).You can see Cora's lovely artwork on her website at www.coraharrington.com or on Instagram at @coraharringtonartist.Thanks Cora!
