This is Me

£725.00
SOLD

This is one of 3 paintings named for the song “This is Me” performed by Keala Settle. This song has become a theme song for my Find Your Joy course and it has also inspired a new approach to my work. I am exploring ways to create more intuitive, authentic work. I want to remove my thinking mind from the process, to eliminate all attempts to please others, and to instead simply let my body make art.

Of course there is always a degree of thought, but in these paintings, that wasn’t allowed in until the very end of the process, when final tweaks were made for clarity of expression. I love these works and I believe they herald a new way of working.

The line that gives this painting its title is “I’m not scared to be free. I make no apologies. This is me.”

  • 50cm x 50 cm (20”x20”)

  • Acrylic, collage and mixed media on wooden panel

  • Framed in a white tray frame

Shipping cost will depend on your location and the painting size. On the checkout page, please select your country and the shipping option for “Medium Painting” for this piece
