Mad Woman

£1,250.00
SOLD

I’ve been questioned about this idea of angry women/ I’ve had women tell me they’re not angry. I have homestly wondered if they’re perhaps dead. How can we not feel at least some anger? How can we not realise just how much we’ve been brainwashed and manipulated over the years, taught that some men are just inclined to bad behaviour and that it’s our job to mitigate and manage, not complain. How can we not be angry that our rights are constantly under threat and that our ideas and emotions are so frequently discounted?

In this painting, I imagined myself locked in some kind of cell, daubing and scratching marks on the wall as I was driven slowly insane. It’s not a stretch to say i’ve felt like that in certain relationships over the years and I know you know what I mean :)

  • Acrylic, house paint, collage and mixed media on wooden panel

  • 30” x 30”

  • Unframed

  • Please note that shipping costs are not included. The shipping cost will depend on your location and the painting size. Once you have made your purchase, we’ll be in touch to arrange your shipment and at that time, we’ll let you know the extra to be paid.
